Essential Infromation

Runners, on your marks! Ready, get set, race! 

All students participating in the race are required to read and know the essential information on the right in order to be prepared for race day.

Emails have been sent out to runners with mandtatory forms to be filled out! Please check your emails!

Necessary Items (highly recommend)

  • Water 

  • Phone Charger

  • Phone

  • Flashlights 

  • Camping Tent/Sleeping Bag

  • Blankets 

  • Pillows 

  • Comfortable Clothes and Shoes 

  • Extra Money for food trucks (optional)

  • Sunscreen & hat 

  • Towel 

  • Change of clothes after water activities

  • Necessary toiletries 

  • Raincoat (depending on weather) 

  • Any necessary medication

Activities and Food

To ensure your fun, please wear comfortable clothing and shoes (all runners will be provided a free T-shirt to wear throughout the race, the design is shown on the right). We also advise runners to bring extra money to pay for food trucks coming to the race as an alternative option for food. The Race Day Agenda can be found on the right, below the T-shirt design.

For the 2025 Race we are provided Costco Pizza (cheese and pepperoni) for Lunch and Taco Bell Burritos (chicken enchiladas or bean and cheese burrito) + Costco Salads + chips for Dinner (In 'n Out offered to the top 10 teams who've ran the most by 6pm!).

Disclaimers: Vegan food will not be provided and a limited number of snacks will be available so runners are welcome to bring their own snacks/meals.

Safety

Each section of the race will be supervised by 10 adults at all hours of the day plus Police officers. 

 

To keep everyone safe on race day, we advise against leaving at any time without notifying a Committee Member or Director.

The forbidden items/behavior include: Alcohol, Drugs, Weapons, Cigarettes/Vapes/E-Cigarettes, Inappropriate behavior (harassment,violence, etc.)

Additional Rules

There is a zero strike policy in regards to the usage of alcohol, cigarettes, and all illegal substances by all participants, volunteers, and staff members at the race. 

​

There is a zero strike policy in regards to 24 Hour Runners leaving or entering campus after 9 AM on April 12th.

​

Cheating is not tolerated at the 24 Hour Race events. Teams are given a one-strike warning and a second occurrence of cheating will lead to the disqualification of said team.

​

An affiliated team of invalid guests may be disqualified.

​

At least one or two runners per team is allowed on the track. This runner is required to be carrying their team's wristband. Runners must clearly display their identification wristband to the lap-recording marshals as they run past the recording table for their lap to be counted.

Sleeping Arrangements/Map

Students can sleep inside the gym for a warm climate or in the athletic quad. Either way, we advise runners/teams to bring their own tents, sleeping bags, etc.
